Myra's Bingo Bag Pictures! :)

Myra from Alabama wrote:

I wanted to thank you for the bingo bag pattern and instructions.  I have just finished making one.  It took me a little longer than 2 hours as someone posted on your website; but, then I am probably slower than some people.  I used batting as interfacing on the sides to give the bag more stability and interfaced the bottom with auto head liner fabric.  On the top, I sewed the lining and outer section together them topped with folded fabric.    I lined with the same fabric as the dauber holder.  I just used materials that I had on hand left over from other projects; so, the bag didn't cost me anything but my time.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Dear Myra,

The thanks goes to you for sharing your bingo bag pictures with me!  It makes me happy that you found the pattern instructions useful!  You created a beautiful and unique bingo bag!  I love the material choice and beads on the handles.  As far as time goes to make one, I say 3 hours!  :O)  Thanks Again Myra!

Good Morning!

Tip of the day:  I highly recommend using an interfacing on the bag to give it more support.  All you have to do is follow the instructions for pre-shrinking the interfacing.  I apply this interfacing to the inside of the outer bag, not on the dauber fabric.  I think it makes the bag look more professional.  :O)  You can use any brand, but the one pictured here is iron-on Heat and Bond, Craft Extra Firm.  It is especially great for handbags as it says on the outer packaging.   Please be sure to subscribe by <follow by email> on this page!  And a like on Facebook would be great ;)  Big thanks to Phyllis for submitting her bingo bag pictures!  I will also be pinning all submissions to Pinterest.  Check out the Brag Page to see them!

Important Update as of September 1, 2013

I have two very important updates regarding newsletter subscriptions and pattern revisions.

1.  If you signed up for the Free Bingo Bag Newsletter prior to September 1, 2013, you will need to re-subscribe via the new link on this page.

2.  I have changed the pattern design just a bit to make the dauber holders taller.  I feel it holds the daubers in the bag better. So, the new measurement for the dauber holder fabric went from 7 1/2" to 8 1/2".  The new measurements are also located on the Instructions Page.

Thank you all for visiting and be sure to posts links to your pictures on the Brag Page!
